body side moulding poll

Am thinking of buying a Z16 real soon. To body side mould or not to body side mould, that is the question. What do you ZEE types think ?

I have it and I like it. If you get it and you don't like it - just take it off.

I don't understand the quandry I guess. They came on my car, and I can't imagine not having them. Some guys really go ballistic over the things, and how best to remove 'em, but they look great to me.

I vote without.

I have them on mine, only because there were very few of these around in EB in Nov 01 and I took what I could find at 0% on the last day of the promotion.

I also believe that the car/lines look much cleaner without. They will never help against door dings, as they are never located at the correct location/height for the offending door. FWIW Good luck !!

Mine came with them, and I took them off. You can see pics of the car with and without in the photo album on my site

I have actually seen a couple of small nicks in my BSM after being in parking lots (even though I parked far away) where someone parked next to me. If I had not had the BSM those nicks would have been in my door. I guess it depends on what type of vehicle parks next to you. I like the way they look & I like the (admittedly small) protection it provides.
In the end, just like color, its personal choice.
Wouldn't it be boring if all of our cars were exactly the same ?

Much cleaner look without them and like they said, most of the time they're not positioned to help with dings anyway! I bought my car at Kerbecks and they don't even order the BSM'S on any of their vettes. Hope this helps. C.J.
