Braille Battery issues

I live in N. Fl so colds is not the issue. I have had this battery for 5 months and drive th car once a week. Battery is dead. When I say "dead" it has nothing in it. So my question to anyone willing to guide me is 1) Can I jump this battery and 2) would it even hold a charge after being lifeless..? Maybe I should loose the weight off my gut and go back to a full weight battery ?

What IT L GO said. Once you charge your battery, make sure the mercury switch on your under hood lamp isn't sticking and staying on when you close your hood. If so tap the light and that should take care of it. In addition I would use a battery maintainer when the machine is parked due to power off draw on the battery. Hope this helps.
