c-6 info

some more infor I received guys is that the new c-6 will have a new engine 6.0 liter for the base c-6 and a 6.4 liter for the z06 out a year later...

I can tell you this car flys went for a ride in one sunday..

the car has a little more dojne to it than you think. Gm is going after the exotic look with some really cool things.

GM is also playing with different tail and nose pieces as we speak trying to decide what is gonna sell to the public.

They had 10 units just get back from Arizonia from testing

I heard they are gonna make some test units in the detroit area in November from a source...

Outlw,

Do you know anything about the supposed 500+ hp cam-less Z06 engine?

Thanks for the C-6 update!

6.0 for the 2004 MY and 2005 for the 6.4 which will intro in 2004 as a late model with possible delay due to vendor issues..

I could use that camera...

G-tech showed 0-60 in 3.74 seconds for the 6.4 l ... No HP was given that was entered with a vehicle weight of 3300 lbs...

I did notice very little heat in the tunnel near the gear shifter.

I was wondering if I should put mine up for sale now !!!

Tail lights look stealth and are a killer for the guy behind you to see.

Took all back roads..

They are redoing all the GM roads to the proving grounds with new asphalt outside the fence and a lot of those cars are driving on them..

Dan remember that guy... I met him again yesturday and he said not you again.. I met him with my other friend. He laughed and said thats why you know so much .. Smart guy maybe you should apply for a job at Gm I said where do I sign up...

All I can say too you thought the camero was dead ??? !!! Think again guess what the new return of the camera will use guess what the ls1 and ls6 powertrain. Any one want to put money on it.. ????

The Lights in the c-6 are hid and they are leaning towards them
since they are brighter and light up the road. downside is the added cost but the caddy Sport uty. will use HID and they have a wagon, sedan and some other car in the works that will share the frame with the new c-6.

At the Carlisle C5 Registry dinner last Friday night the BG Plant Manager, in his speech, said some interesting things.
One was that the pics we've seen in the magazines ARE NOT of the C6. (That was very well received!)

He also stated that the C6 will be out as a 2005 car which means production will start in June/July of 2004. Cars should be at the dealers soon after that. They don't expect to shut down the production line but simply do a change over!

He said to keep an eye on the 2004 as it will be "special". I'm not hearing any more HP but look for some other goodies!!

Let it also be know that Will has a 100hp shot of NO2 on his ZO6 and loves it. He's thinking of moving up to 150 soon.

Bob

Wow! Great numbers! Great information..I don't know why but I keep hearing higher displacement numbers and more power..lower weight but the same 0 to 60mph time..as you mentioned..I guess it doesn't matter how we get sub 4 second 0 to 60's as long as we do!

Keep up the great work! If the car is coming out with sequential stick shift..let us know..

Thats one technical feature I would like to see..(not going to happen on the vette but never hurts to ask!)

I am excited to hear that the cadillac line and the Camaro will be utilizing the hydroformed frame rail technology ..or at least thats how its reading in your informational thread..

Thanks again..its information like this that adds to this sites fun for all us enthusiasts..
