C5 meets C6
One of the local Chicago area performance shops had an open house today. It was really good time, including the burn out contest (mostly F-bodies and Mustangs), which was broken up by the Schaumburg, IL Police after about an hour. They showed up with about 6 or 7 squad cars and even had a helecopter. You would think that there was something really illegal going on. No one got in trouble, but that was the end of the burn out contest. It was the first time I saw a pile of rubber actually catch fire after a burn out!
After the open house, me and a buddy of mine drove our Z's to a place for a beer. He took me for a ride in the C6 and all I can say is wow!

Awesome!! I bet you can feel the extra torque in your gut! As much as I love the C6 Z06 - I still like the look of the C5's front better.

My heart is still with the look of the C5 Z06, but I love the C6 too.
Him and I will be part of the caravan from Chicago to Z06 Fest this year.

Nice angle on the first shot. I love that view of the C6, but I cant say that for the rear. Your TR sits Very nice

The C6 performance is impressive and I'm warming up to the body but I have to agree. I too prefer the C5 front and rear body style vs the C6.

Im finally warming up to the C6, I still dont like the way it looks from the front, but from the side and rear it looks pretty sweet.

I think the C5 Z06 looks much better from the rear/side angle. I like the front of the C6 alot, but the C5Z just looks meaner to me. It makes me want to get a head/cam package for the C5Z instead of dreaming about the C6Z. Too bad about the interior
