C5R bodywork for the Z06?

I think this would be a hit. I know some molding companies including Pratt and Miller could make this happen.

I would be first in line for body parts. No not in carbon fiber. $35,000 is a bit too steep.

This would allow the street racers who go to the track to win more races, I think. The wheels could be larger for more traction, etc.

What do you think?

It would be interesting to see what might be available for the FRC/Z06.

IMHO I haven't been too impressed with what the aftermarket designers have come up with. Lingenfelters hood is about the first thing I've seen that I would consider acceptable.

Interested......

depending on cost. Love the looks of the C5-R. Just scare the competition away. No problem.

One of the aftermarket shops is selling the C5-R hood, not painted for roughly $800.00 I think it is Ecklers or WWC.

I think a kit that gives the option of a wider rear end, (yes I know it is already big), or a slight flare around the wheel wells would be great. It would give us the option of mounting wider wheels/tires. As it stands you either have to tub your car or deal with traction issuses.

I'm with No Mercy! These cars need a way to get some big tires under them in the rear. I think that the Z has the smallest rear tire of all the supercars it goes up against. If only we could get a 12-13" rear wheel under the car. A ZR-1 type body that made the rear end wider to allow for not only a larger rear tire but also a wider track and a deep wheel.

I think it would be a big hit and look awesome if done as well as the ZR-1. Just keep the original lines and look of the car, not these fancy (read: gaudy) body kits that are out there now. A factory looking fat-ass kit would be excellent. I'll take one and a new set of HRE's as soon as you're ready.

Another vote with No Mercy. I wouldn't mind a spoiler in the rear either. I like the way No Mercy's is integrated into the body.

I think the itimidation factor of Viper size 3.15s and the bodywork would finally allow us to drive without being challanged by every Honda on the road.

I have emailed Pratt and Miller to see if there is anything in their war chest.

Thanks for taking the lead for us. Again.

Some of that C5 Mako Shark type body work would sure be nice...

Sounds intriguing? I'd need to see some prototype stuff before I would consider voting with my dollars.
