C6 coupe: "chipped" to 450HP?

I ran into a guy with a new C6 coupe (not a z) on Saturday and he claimed that he "chipped" his car and it's now hitting 450hp.... I'm assuming that he meant he had a re-tune done with LS6/edit, he didn't seem ver knowledgeable about vettes, he thought my z16 was a new C6Z.

possible? or b.s.?

Total

Corvette stopped using chips in the nineties.
A LS2 could be Dyno tuned to gain some HP/TQ but not 50 HP. More like a gain of 10 HP of so.

That's what I said to him, but he was "one of those" vette owners and I wasn't in the mood to get into a discussion with him. Once he mistook my Z16 for the new Z I knew he was a dumas.

Just like the guy that told me he used to have a vette back when they were made from steel. That guy ceased to exist after that.

I think I may have missed those years. It really does take all kinds. I meet at least one at every car show. I just run away and hide.

LOL. I ran into a guy at a light that started a conversation asking what HP I was making, he was in a CTS-V with the same motor as the C6. He told me he was making 460 RWHP
from a tune without any other mods and he really believed this. For kicks I asked him where he had it dynoed and of course he hadn't had it dynoed but assured me that the Cadillac dealer made changes to his computer resulting in the 460 rwhp.

Knowing that the "Tornado" adds 10 horsepower when added to my car, I stacked 10 of them and WOW does that sukka move out.
