I am going to put my Z to bed for the winter. I was going to wall off the third bay of my garage to keep the corvette away from salt, dirt, water falling off the other cars in the garage. Lately I have heard good things about "car capsule" inflatable bubbles that circulate air and keep crud off of your car. Anybody have any experience with these?
I have had two of the Car Capsules so far. One was used last year for my now gone 2003 Cobra and now one for my 2003 Z06. This is the only way I would store a car. If I am making payments on this thing I have to at least see it every day is my thought. I have a trickle charger hooked up as well to keep the battery fresh. You will still get some very minor dust after about 4 months of storage, nothing you can really tell. You will need to get the 18' version due to the overall width of the car. Any questions let me know.
(here I go getting myself in trouble again!)
Have you considered parking it as close to the far wall as possible and putting a cover on it. Geez, what's up with building walls and inflatable capsules This is a motor vehicle not a baby in an incubator.
She is parked close to the wall and under a cover but I want to provide as much protection for her as I can.
The "bubble" looks better than a cover and I've considered one for quite some time.

Well Jim...like I say...whatever floats your boat, I guess. I've come across a few anal people in my life but wanting "her" to look better while "she's" stored away for the winter...WOW! Have you considered that a cover may be warmer for "her", and "her" nakedness won't be exposed for others to see should they happen into "her" winter retreat?

I have used a car bag for 20 years and it is the best method of storing a car in a not so prefect environment I have found. And I have tried many. I don't like the bubble because you still get dirt and some minor rust. The big plus is you can see the car. http://www.carbag.com/
With the car bag the car comes out in the spring exactly as you put it away. I use a battery maintainer also.
