caravaggio seats ???

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knew who made the caravaggio race seat (fixed back)... I assume that the seat is made by another company and caravaggio customizes it with leather. They have a new race seat coming out that looks just like a Porsche GT3 seat, which is made by Recaro.

It's made by Caravaggio as far as I know. It does sort of look like a Porsche GT3 seat. Then again, both seats were patterned after other race seats.

This is coming from memory so call to verify but- when I spoke to John @ Caravaggio, he indicated the shell of the seat was made overseas somewhere (China???). The stitching and assembly are all done at his shop by his crew. He was telling me those new seats you are speaking of were a pain because there are so many pieces to it and he had to make several modifications to the designs and communicating those changes were a PITA because the manufacturer was overseas. Like I said call him, he's a good guy. Oh, yeah those new seats are REALLY high $$$.

I too went to his shop before buying the sport style seats last fall. He has his own mold and made them on site. Maybe he has changed or makes the new seats elsewhere.

The sport seats that I have are like the Sparco Touring seats. Similar, but not identical.
