Chicago Area Guys-----Mod Party?????

UPDATED 8 JUNE 2004

I called and cancelled the catering and some "special" Vettes I set up for attending and all the other treats I had planned due to lack of participation.

Disappointed,

Joe

UPDATED 29 MAY 2004

OK, Saturday June 12th it is, say 10:00am till ???? With a rain date of Sunday the 13th. I'll supply drinks, and we can order out for wings and pizza for lunch. How's that sound?

June 5th is out because we have a Pro Golf Tournament at the Country Club and they won't let anyone park on the streets, so that date is out.

No complicated Mods please. Please keep them to bolt ons that can be completed in a few hours or so. If you think you can do a head and cam install, bring it on. Keep in mind its best to plan to be able to do most of the work yourself. I will be there to assist as will others. Please indicated if you think you may need some help. Were not pulling motors or changing rear ends and I won't be doing mini tub installs on this day. Unlike some of those other Mod parties you read about , We CAN do oil changes on my lift, you must bring your own new oil and filters and you MUST bring 1 gallon containers to put your old oil into. I'll dispose of it for you, but you must bring the containers.

We can do CAGS installs. I can supply the resister, wire tie and electrical tape. We can install shifters, partitions, ram airs, gauge bezels, lowering, etc. You get the idea. I can't be everywhere at once, so please bring the tools you may need.

I'll bring most of my tools from my warehouse/shop for the party. I will have my floor jack, lift, a 2 pairs of jack stands available along with my tools.

Please post if and how many people your bringing with you.

Please post any intended mods you plan to do.

Exotics are welcome to attent too. So if you have a buddy with a Ferrari, Lambo, Aston Martin, Porshe, Etc. have them bring it along.

Joe

UPDATED 9 MAY 2004

OK, what do you guys think about Saturday June 5th with a rain date June 12th.

Say from 10:00 am till when ever

Bloomington Gold is June 24-27, so that may not be too good, or maybe it would be good. Maybe more Z06 folks from out of town could come?

Give me your thoughts. Anyweekend is good for me in June so it really does not matter.

Joe

Hey Chicago area guys, was wondering if there was any type of interest me putting together a mod party at my place, say in the June timeframe?

I have a lift in my garage we could use for basic things, ie oil changes, cags installs, muffler installs. I'd like to keep things to small projects in order to give everyone some time.

Any interest in a get together? I'm in Aurora.

Post your thoughts????

Thanks

Joe

I would love to have a mod party! I'm in Westmont, so no problem getting out to you. Thinking about having a Hurst put in, any experience? Let me know when and where! Nick

You can mostly count me in. I should be due for an oil change by then. I was planning on buying a Blackwing filter.
It would be cool to meet some of you guys as this is my 1st Vette and want to meet others with the same car and different mods.

keep us updated. I think I'll have done a couple of mods by then, but who knows maybe I'll need an oil change or dare I say another mod?

Joe, just let me know the date and time and I'll have some mod to put on, e.g. 3.90 gears or a nitrous kit... I've been wanting a ride in your beast, but that could cost me money adding more power. Look forward to meeting you and the area Z06 ers.

Let me know, I'm a young guy but I'd come for sure. I already know Wes aka Chicago Z06 and he's a really great Z06 owner, but would love to meet some more locals. No mods coming because of cashflow, but hopefully in the future. I could use a lift to make my oil change nightmare easier, though

I live only about 3 hours from Chicago. I don't know what mod I would do. I just got this car late last summer, so I still have a lot of mods to go yet. I'm really interested in seeing some nicely modded Z's up close.
