Note on this thread.... We aren't talking about Mustang Cobras here. We are talking about the 427 Shelby Cobra GTs. Most of us will never have a chance to race one of these monsters. Stock to Stock in a straight line the Cobra would probably win in a race. Get it in the twisties though, and the Z should be able to leave it in the dust.
They're referring to the REAL Cobras guys. You know, the ones made by Carroll Shelby in the '60s and the fabricated cars made now by companies like Factory Five and Superformance. Those cars flat out haul.
I have seen 2 of the Shelby's here in KC run at the track on 2 different occassions. They only run against each other though (think the owners are buddies)
I was kinda hoping next Spring to talk one of them into giving me a go, just for a change of pace. They were running low 11's or high 10's (I think) when I saw them.
