For those of you interested, the annual Eureka Springs Corvette Weekend is coming up on Oct. 2nd thru 5th. I have never been to it (since I've never had a Vette until now), but everyone in the club says it's great fun. Drive over and see us.

Care to share???
I went in 2000 and had a great time...started off my drive doing a 360 in the rain on I435 at 5:30 in the morning with my 95 convertible at 70mph. It took about 4 hours for my behind to relax after that one....
This year I rented a cottage with a hot tub on the deck. I hope I see some Corvettes

This is my post on a local forum that I made about if I was going this year or not.
I may go but I DID NOT HAVE A GOOD TIME LAST YEAR !!
1) If you are not a member of a club good luck on finding a hotel.
2) If you are not a member of a club good luck on them talking to you.
3) DON'T SPEED AT ALL !!!! The cops HATE CORVETTE OWNERS UP THERE !!
4) If you are under the age of 50 you will be in the minority.
Then I got a reply about how great the cops were and how they help with burn out contests because they love the revenue being brought in by us.
The cops helped you with a burn out contest ? They came over to me and told me not to rev my car or I would get a ticket. This was around noon on the Saturday of the event. Then one cop yelled at me and my wife because we had our son in the car with us. BTW the convert in front of us had 1 male driver and 2 FEMALE passengers. I pulled over and asked him why it was a problem and his exact words " we are tired of all you corvette guys that think you own the town and laws don't apply to you" I asked the nice officer if it would be ok for us to drive around town like that since soooooo many others were and he said no.
BTW the other thing that was great was the ZR-1 guys bashing all the ZO6 cars ! "now that the ZO6 came out our cars have just gotten killed !" Then all you hear is yep ! aint that the truth ! etc etc. This happend when I walked up asking about a ZR-1 that was for sale.
It's a lot of fun, as a matter of fact my wife and I got married there last year. As to the cops being bad, I stood around and talked to one of the officers for about an hour, and he was very cordial. He did say if you did something stupid in front of an officer, that you might get a warning or even a ticket, but usually they look the other way. This was backed up by the moonlight cruise where the cops basically ignored most of the burnouts and revving. They did site one of the spectators for putting down water & bleach on the street, but I didn't hear of any Corvettes getting ticketed that night. There are plenty of hotels, bed & breakfasts, and rental homes in the area so you shouldn't have problems finding a room.
