Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid...John Wayne.
Si vis pacem, para bellum.
Boy,that's nice! Did you have it tuned or is that right out of the box? Also, I hear that when you get up around 8000 or 9000 miles it even gets better! How many miles doyou have on it?

i got one less horsepower than you but four more torque... wat is your A/F ratio? my car is bone stock too... my air to fuel ratio was 10.6-11.1(very rich)
It is right out of the box. It has been lowered, but that does nothing on the Dyno. The miles right now are 3033, so it will be nice if it goes even higher later. Not sure on the A/F, didn't ask and not sure if they checked it. This was a Car Show and Dyno day at MTI here in Houston hosted by Corvette Owners Club of Houston.
I guess if you got higher torque than me 2002Z06Yellow, mine aint the fastest. Speaking of that, I meant to ask earlier. Isn't torque what gets you moving down the track? If yes, then since mine seems to drop off right after 5K RPMs, should I be shifting at 5K instead of trying to max it out? Or is it different in each gear and you should max each of them out?
no u dont need to shift your at 5K rpm.. unless ur towing something eddie now seriously... torque=accelration horsepower = speed... if you have a monster torque car you will probably get a quicker car if you had a mega horsepower car you will probably get a faster car.. if you see a car at the track that traps more than you, your better off staying away from it on the streets.. the reason you dont need to shift at 5K becuase ur searchign for the optimum range where horsepower and torque are optimized to run the best you can.. this is at redline.. shift there and you will be good to go.. plus remember dyno graphs will not make a car faster... peak horsepower is IRRELVANT .. its average power made during a run.. i have seen someone posting a stock dyno results at 375 and 365 torque.. i hope if i get my car tuned i will hit those numbers...
Thanks for the info. Sorry to sound so ignorant, but I really am when it comes to that stuff. I've always had fairly nice cars and like driving them like a race car, but never really got into the track stuff until Corvettes entered my life. I just know that HP isn't what does it alone. I'm sure you've all experienced the pickup trucks with lots of HP that try and fail at lights.
