Full/detailed list of C5>Z06 differences?

I know this has probably been covered a million times, but the search function does not work (I'm in Mac Firefox and it prompts me to open a php document, don't know if that's for everyone).

A link to a thread on the subject would be satisfactory and a thread closing shortly thereafter.

The search won't work for me either.I may be able to answer your question in part.
Z06 comes in a FRC body only
Front and rear brake ducts
LS6 385hp in 01 then 405hp in 02-04.vs LS1 300hp
6sp only
Avialable only in red, white, blue, black, silver and Yellow
2 choices of interior.Black or Z06 red.
Z06 seats
No trunk lids
No multi disc CD player
Fixed mast antenea(No power avail.)
No wheel sensors
Z06 suspension similar to Z51
Larger brakes and calipers (painted red)
Larger wheels and tires 17x9.5 and 18x10
Z06 wheels with Goodyear F1 supercar tires(Not run flats)
Active handling and traction control with OFF/COMP MODE sw.
Larger titanium exhaust with x pipe
HUD standard 03 and on
Z06 weighs 500lbs less than a C5
Z06 badges and emblems
The Z06 outperforms a coupe in every way,Acceleration,Top speed and Handling.
$100k+ exotic cars fear the Z06,but not the C5
A C5 is what people were expecting when they get beat by a Z06
Z06 owners have a bigger smile
Hope this helps.

The LS1 actually has 350 hp. And the weight difference versus the C5 coupe is only about 130lbs. or so. And the suspension is actually quite a bit different from the shocks to the size of the anti-roll bars, etc.

Actually they are the same size, just different pads and painted.

I found a good list on CorvetteForums Z06 FAQ's.

I noticed one thing they didn't explain was the chassis differences.

Yes brake calipers are the same becides being painted red. The difference is in the pads. Z51 suspension shares the front spring with the Z but thats it. Rear spring, shocks and sway bars are different.

I love misinformation... half of the stuff in that first list is exaggerated or wrong.

*The Z06 is about 130 lbs lighter than a coupe and 80 lbs lighter than a stock FRC if my memory is correct

*The coupe has a higher rated top speed of 175 I believe b/c of better aero (hatch glass) and a longer 5th gear

*HUD available from '02+

*LS1 has 345 hp them 350 from 2001+

*Interior is available in black or mod red

*The front "brake ducts" more like tire coolers are on all C5 models

***I think we should take Greg's authority label away

This is what happens when I pull info off the top of my head.I read it wrong in the mirror.I knew I wasn't entirely right, but I also knew someone would pipe in and correct me if I was wrong. The 300hp was a typo btw Excuuuuuse me.
This thread sat around for a whole day and no one would answer the guys question, but put a few wrong facts down and everyone jumps on the bandwagon and acts like they know everything and I'm an idiot.Thanx for being supportive. What else would I expect from a Cobra and a Javelin.
I don't see a revised list from anyone. Answer the guys question Shmarty pants.Edumacate us.Someone on here knows all the technical answers and could take the time to post them, instead of just a vague retort to my feeble attempt.Wiz?Tom?Care to elaborate on those differences you mentioned? My ignorance is exposed, maybe that's why I'm an "Authority" I have lots of questions. All I know for sure is that my Z is much faster than my friends coupe and I got nothin but love for my bruthas.

Sorry but I've been waiting to use this! I thought it was pretty accurate off the top of your head.

My 2000 Coupe's title says it weighs 3234. It's loaded with an A4 and 10 Disc CD changer in the truck. Anyone know what a loaded C5 Z weighs?
