I went with ceramic pads for street use about a year ago. No brake dust, the chromies stay nice, and stopping power is similar to the stock/dusty pads. I run the Carbotec's when I go to a DE event ...
I had my Z 5 days before I chucked the factory pads in favour of ceramics as well. They stop very nearly as well and throw off almost no dust. I was washing my wheels daily before, now maybe once a week.
Great looking wheels, I never would have thought to put black on the red but it does set it off nicely.
I love my black rims...although I found when they got brake dust on them they looked worse than when the stocks got dust on them. I went with the ceramic pads and never looked back.
Yeah JB my black wheels geting nasty looking too, but I still have the factory setup on mine, I'm thinking of ceramic pads for Deuce when the time comes, and that might be soon, and probably rotors too!
