headlight gear questions

The driver side headlight gear started grinding the other night when I turned off the lights. I read about the brass gears available aftermarket. I have GMPP, so should I just take it to Tom Jumper Chevy or order the brass gears? If one just gave out is the other one far behind? Anyone who has gone through this already care to offer any thoughts?

If you can get it fixed for free, I say do it that way. If they fail after your warranty, then you can do the brass gear change. JMO

Call the Chevy dealer and ask them if they will install brass gears if you provide them. All covered under warranty.
