Well - got the car back today - it goes in on Monday again for round 2 (clutch, diff. leak and oil consump).
They did all the non-invasive work in the last 3 days - so I could enjoy the car over the weekend.
About the service:
Problem:
Drivers seat belt stitching coming out.
Solution:
They replaced the seatbelt that had the stitching pulling out.
No questions. Not even with regard to the 5 point harness I have in place.
Problem:
The leather on the drivers seat left lumbar bolster showed signs of wear as the metal frame pushed through the foam padding and pushed into the leather.
Solution:
Replace the drivers seat-back cover and affect GM repair to the metal frame and foam (also replaced) to prevent future wear.
No questions - not even about the harness bar attached under the seat mounts.
Moral
While the Z06 itself, sometimes shows questionable quality of assembly and/or parts - the guys and gals at Munday Chevy are making my Z ownership a fantastic adventure.
Case in point: The car was made ready as a surprise to me so I wasn't expecting to pick it up, and in the excitement (read as me the dumba$$ forgets) I leave my house keys in the console of the rental.
Well the sales guys helped me this evening as we gained access to the locked compound to check for my keys through the rental window. We eventually found them in the locked Enterprise Office's "lost and found".
Interestingly we had to summon the local Sheriff that patrols that dealership to unlock the locked facilities (he has a key - but none of the sales staff do).
No sooner had we summoned the sheriff to open the office and duly supervise our search - so that no untoward security risk be taken with the Enterprise Office - than the janitor arrives - unlocks the door and cleans the office

- go figure - so much for key control
All in all another fantastic warranty visit to Munday.
