Intake Damaged Help ????

OOPS, I dropped my LS6 intake and did a little damage on the edge where it meets (seals) against the cylinder head. This area is about a ½” long X ¼: wide X ¼” deep. How do I fix this area, I was thinking about using epoxy or is it really needed, maybe use some extra sealer? Looks like there’s a little damage where the throttle body goes.

Re: Intake Damaged Help ????

That's as good a reason as any to order a new Halltech intake.

Hmmmmm,
Both the intake runners' area and the throttle body mount have recessed gaskets/ channels.....did the crack/ damage carry through those?? Maybe, if you could, post up a picture?? Might help with diagnosis.
If it is too severe, check the for sale sections....you can usually find deals. I actually saw a new FAST 92/ 92 TB with a real good price....didn't last long.

Re: Intake Damaged Help ????

There was no cracking just a piece taken out. Anyway I took to a auto macine shop and they repaired it. Works fine.

Re: Intake Damaged Help ????

Good deal!! Good to hear it was a quick repair and not having to track down a whole new intake......that could have been a costly drop. But it worked out!!
