Looking to buy Z06 and need help

I currently own a 2000 SS Camaro with 12,000 miles on her and she is stock except for tires and wheels, but I still have them. I'm looking to buy a 2002 or 2003 Z06 red or yellow paint. Now I would like to have the 2 toned interior because I believe this to be more desirable down the road right? Also I'm looking to get a good deal somewhere between $25-30 and low miles. Any advice would be helpful. Just let me know of weird things to look for or things being a Camaro owner I might not know. For instance I never knew the 98-02 sail panels on the Camaro would eventually bubble the paint due to the eurothane. Thanks

Re: Looking to buy Z06 and need help

There are alot of C5Z's for sale here if you look. The economy has alot of people selling some very nice cars lately. One of the most common problems which is not that major, but has to be addressed ,is the driver side axle seal leak. W/O a warranty it can cost 700-1000 dollars to correct. Good luck you won't regret the upgrade the C5Z is a ton of fun.

Thank you for your reply. I'm noticing the same thing with the economy so I'm hoping to find the right situation.

You wont have trouble finding any good deals on MY Z06's. I've been searching for a few weeks and all of the good deals are yellow. Good luck on your search! Mine finally ended!

Lots of good deals, and I think you should have no problem finding something in that price range. Good luck.

I am not a fan of the MOD interior on the Yellow, but I do like it on the Red, Silver, Black and Blue. Yellow and Red reminds me of McDonalds personally.

Congrats! I am sure you're excited. But it is even more exciting to drive it.

Re: Looking to buy Z06 and need help

Well I'm still looking but I might be in luck. I went to the Carlisle PA show last saturday and that was the most fun I have had at a car show. So after looking at Z's all day we drove home. Decided to stop by Church for a block party they were having and what is setting there? A red 02 Z that looked brand new. I tracked down the owner and he let me get in it and crank it up. It has 17k on the clock and has borla exhaust. So he tells my dad the next day he is looking to trade it in but was wondering if I was interested? Well I have not seen him yet but maybe I'm in luck. I have a feeling he is gonna want more than kbb for it so I might have to keep looking. Only 2 things I dont like are the bsm and it does not have 2 tone interior. What do you guys think? Kbb is about $25k, are they going for this?
