I just read on another forum that Mike's favorite shop in the whole world, MTI of Houston closed it's doors.
Well, from what I've read about his (Mike's) experience there as well as what I've heard from others who had used them this was probably long overdue. I know Garret O. was a strong defender of that shop, but again, from what I could tell he was one of a few who had a positive experience with them.

Actually, I'm not sure even G's experience with them was everything he'd hoped for.
I'm sure sorry to hear this Don. I had hoped that one day I would go out and get the mail and a reimbersement check for $20,000++ from MTI for some of the expenses they screwed me on. Wasn't counting on it you understand, it was just a pleasant dream
Thanks for the info, Don. I hadn't heard that yet.

Well, it's too bad you probably won't be seing that money...except in your dreams.
I do know that about 2 years ago Chris and Doug received a car from someone in Louisiana who initially had sent it to MTI-Houston. It was a cluster-f###, to say the least. It took them over 6 months to straighten out the mess, and needless to say the "forged" motor they (MTI) had sold this guy ended up being a POS and he wound up going with motor that one of ECS's best customers had as a spare. He let him have it at a very good price and they were finally able to get this guy his car (by the way, the guy's car ended up being a mid-9 second boosted street car, so he was happy).
Isn't it funny how ,if you wait long enough, thing always come full circle. I remember when NM was built, they were heroes for building NM after what Hennessy had done with the car. Well, Hennessy is back at it again, and MTI is gone. NM held together and ran good till the end, but finally, after being probably thier most famous car, the motor needed to be replaced and it was found that the internals were a mess. Surprised it held together from what I was told.
And, not to change the subject, but whatever the hell happened with NM's first owner??? Haven't heard anything for a while.
