Mods: First day I got the car HID lights and I love them
**GONE** 2001 TR, carbon fiber air intake k$n filter w/cut stock air box,Ripper shifter 351 HP 352 Torque
After checking the block with a spectrometer, the sleeves in question are still within tolerance levels and they are reinstalling the heads now. They are gonna put some sealent on the gaskets (as recommended by MTI) and fire her up in the next day or two. If no water leaks this time, I will pick her up and put on the 500 breakin miles (shouldn't take me more than 2 or 3 days). After that, I take her back in for the F1 swap, new injectors, the DRM radiator/oil cooler (came in last week), the 3" Bassini X-pipe with exhaust cutouts, Raptor shift lights, the LPE halfshafts and tuning. My hope is that these last mods won't take more than a week.
The biggest question now is whether the water/coolant leak into the cylinders will be fixed with the new gaskets or if it is some other problem that we haven't figured yet. I'm crossing my fingers and toes.
If all goes pretty smooth, i hope to be back at the track by the end of August
We'll see............
Thanks for asking guys, I still plan to get this thing done in time for my meet-up with ZDOG
oops, forgot to mention....hoping to have my new Motor City hood and BPP non-popup lights painted and installed before the fest as well

Yea, they are using the Cometic gaskets again. This time they will spray them first with a sealent. Last time they used no prep (as recommendeed by Cometic) but MTI says they always prep the gaskets first. Several conversations on this subject were had by MTI, Cometic, MCRacing and myself...it was the subject of considerable debate for a while but the decision was made to follow MTI's recommendation. They have the most experience in this area. Hope it works this time...

Mike I was talking to Mark @ MCracing Monday to set up a tune date & he was unable because somebodies BLACK Z06 is the most important thing they have to work on Any Idea who that piece of stuff might belong to
No really, they are excited about your project and are planning on coming to the FEST to see the beast run.
So are all the rest of us
Looks like I can't get to KC until week after next So keep the brew's cold Bro
Even better.. I wish I could see Mike and Zdog race. It wiil be the race of the ultimate beastie Z's. It better be taped and posted here for all of us to see!!
Damn, I wish I could make it to the fest, Maybe, just maybe my Wife's family won't come in from England (okay, where's the "hope" smilies)
Not to piss anyone off but my money's on Mike so long as his car runs. Experience with making a high horsepower car go fast is going to be the deciding factor, IMHO. But with both cars capable of 140+mph, anything goes on a platform like a streetable C5.
