My car hates me!!!

I just got my first Corvette, 03 ZO6. Wanted one since I was five. I finally get it, and it hates me. I can not get the memory seat programed. I know you set your positions, then hold down memory 1 till it flashes. It stil goes back to the old postion every time I get back in.

How about the owners manual, no help?? I know on my Lincoln Zephyr, you have to hit a button on the fob also before you hit the set button, or something like that. I just remember I was doing it wrong too, until I read the manual and there was one step I was leaving out...Are you doing it with the car running? You might have to do it with the car off, or just the key on, but car off. I would bet you are doing just one of the steps wrong, and thats why it isnt setting, not that its broken. Let us know how you make out! Mike

Congrats on getting a Z. And as others have said, take a deep breath and read the manual. Good Luck

I have read the owners manual. All it says is to have the key in. Anyone remember step by step. Apparently I am a spaz.

Should I tell him what happens when you lean into the car to release the fuel door?

Let's see, '03 Z, wanted since age of 5, car is 3 years old--that makes you ... ...eight?

As Fast Lane mentioned, try the other remote key fob. The one you have must be the one "assigned" to memory #2, so setting memory #1 on the car is setting the memory for the OTHER key fob. You wanna check this out with your key fob? Set memory position # 2 and see if your key fob now works at positioning the seat where you programmed it.

Sometimes the simple things throw you for a total loop, let us know if it works!

The FOB is sending an RF signal to the BCM.
There is a place in options menu on how you want the doors to open, 1 or both and what the seat will do!!
I had mine set to do just as yours does. Go all the way back so my big butt can get in, then when I put in the key and hit mem1 on the door panel, the seat and mirrors and AC do what they are supposed to!!
Scroll thru the options menu on the DIC and you should find what you want!!

Ken
