Well Plan A didn't quite come off due to Mother Nature's sick sense of humor. But being the adaptable sort that we NE's are we went with Plan B an impromptu meeting at the Nashua Hooteer's for some food, some drink, a little NASCAR, some fine scenery (thanks to Erica), and some great conversation and a lot of laughs (by the way Dave, What time is it???)
We had 8 folks show:
Brian (Reddeath) and his friend Kevin
Ralph (Rocket Z)
Andy (WiseGuyZ)
Dan (DanA_F99_1977)
Dave (Sconi) and his son Brian
and yours truly.
The laughs really got going when Dave showed up at 1:00 pm (the rest of us were there at 12:00) and proclaimed his surprise that the NASCAR race was starting 12:00. Well, as you probably guessed, Dave missed that little thing called Daylight Savings Time and thought he was actually on time. Now of course no one in this group gave Dave any grief on this little oversight (yeah, right).
A good time was had by all, thanks guys, it was fun and we will do the Dyno Day in mid May.
Had a great time seeing everyone again...no matter what time they arrived.
Thanks for setting up both plan A and plan B.
This is only two in a row that we forgot to take pic's. Of course finding the cars in between the pickup's and the mud and melting snow in the parking lot wouldn't have been too much fun anyway. Can't complain though, as we got the one sunny day between spring snow storms. Calling for 5-7 inches later today in southern MA.
It was a great time, Thanks for setting it up Mark. It was nice meeting the other people in the area that have to deal with this crappy weather when they know they have the Z in the garage. Owell at lunch today I will be switching to the pickup for a few days. Ohh something I forgot to point out yesterday, the Mobile station down the street from billerica center heading toward Burlington on 3A appears to have a price mix up on thier gas. It was an early sunday morning and I was up pretty late friday night but as far as I could tell the 93 octane and the 89 octane were mixed up price wise. 93 octane was only a couple cents more than the cheap stuff (87 octane) while 89 was like 15-20 cents more. I know not a big deal but I noticed it since I put in 17.something gallons before I drove to nashua that morning. I almost ran out of gas on the way to Billerica following Andy. Anyway great time and hope to see you all again sometime.
Thanks for having me
Brian
