EA Games has released their next installment of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2. Its available on many formats... I can tell you that the PC version is the last one you want to buy, no matter how good your PC is... got an Xbox or PS, buy that one...
Anyway. They have the Z06, so you can race your car against all your favorite rivals: Ferrari 360, 911T, Viper, etc.... The graphics are pretty amazing, the car detail is very amazing.. Oh and the Z06 is rated to 60 at 3.9.. so its one of the fastest... of course that doesn't help with the Z06 Cop cars that are after you!
... and if you outrun them, they call in choppers, lay spike strips and setup road blocks!
Loads of fun, and much cheaper than doing it on the street!
I buy it for PS2 about 2 weeks ago. If you buy this game you better that a lot of time on your hands because that all you will want to do. Hours go by like minutes. I havent played it in a couple days and thats all I can think about. I think I am going to take tomorrow off to play it.
I have it for the XBOX. There are two version of the Z06. One you can choose in any color the second is a suped up version only available in red. The game is awesome. There is an event called american muscle showdown where the Z06, viper, and mustang R go at it. It was fun beating up on those cars with the Z06. I love good car games especially those with the great Z in it.
Hmm, I'll have to check that game out then. I currently play Project Gotham Racing on Xbox, which has a Z06 in it. Graphics are amazing on that game too. I especially like the car detail, including customized license plates: I created my exact same license plate on the video game! My biggest complaints about the game are 1) the physics aren't realistic: they rank the Z06 as a middle range car and when accelerating there are Subaru WRX's and even New Beetles that seem to hang right there with the Z06 2) The car sounds suck - they made the Z06 sound like a Honda 3) Not many scenery/track selections. 4) They put goofy looking racing stripes on the Electron Blue color - if it wasn't for that, the car would look exactly like mine!
Everything else is great though.
I loved the original Need For Speed game that came out for the PC eons ago. I think at the time they marketed with Car & Driver or some other rag. One of my favorite things to do was to smash into a stopped cop car while he's eating donuts while I'm doing 190 in a Diablo.
Glad I'm not the only one who plays car video games with the Z06 while owning the real one. I thought I was really twisted for doing that. Well, maybe I am still twisted, but at least now I know I'm in good company.
The way I look at it, the game lets me do fun things with the Z06 that would either get me arrested or killed in real life, with the only cost being my time.

It is actually two different developers doing it (which is rare on the same game). IGN.com in their head to head column rated the PS2 version the best, followed by PC/XBOX, then Gamecube.

The F50 is in there.
The second is a suped up version only available in red. I knew it! RED is faster! J/K
