First, I'd like to say hello. I'm looking to get a Z06 within a couple months. I love the car, I think Corvette has outdone theirselves. I have heard that the titanium exhaust on the Z06 is a great system. However, I was wondering if there were any other systems that I could use to get a louder growl out of the car. (I'm a mustang owner, so I'm used to the Flowmaster volume). But I wouldn't want to hurt the performance of the car either. And if anyone has any links to sound clips, that would be great. Thanks!!
You know, it's a tough decision. I love the yellow. It gives off the exotic look of the car. Then of course there is black--just mean and intimidating But I also like the "pewter" (sorry, I'm not sure of the actual name GM gives that color). But I'm leaning more towards yellow.

WHAT, not EB? MY is a cool color and I almost got it, but then I saw EB. Anyway, welcome to our site and Borlas have been a popular exhaust around here, but I don't have them. Others will chime in with their opinions and tales. AS you will find out fst, this is a great site. Enjoy your new car and new friends, here at Z06Vette.com. Bill
Welcome to the site Chris. You're getting a great car no matter what color you choose. If you go to Halltech's website over to the left, they've got a sound bite of the Borla stinger exhaust. I don't have it myself but it sounds great on their site. Good luck.

Corsa Performance makes a CAT back aftermarket race system in Titanium. Corsa "Z" Series Titanium Race Exhaust System. See their site for pics and sound clips
Popular catback systems are the Borla Stingers, with either dual or quad tips, PRT, GHL or SLP Loudmouths. And as DJ said, the Corsa titanium systems of which there are several types.
As far as loudest I'd say the SLP Loudmouths or the Corsa titanium race system (no mufflers). Any exhaust can be made louder of course by not running catalytic converters (off-road use only of course ) and the addition of headers.
Use the search function and you'll find hundreds of posts on this and some with links to sound clips as well.
Hey Chris----sure glad you asked that question. The 5.0 has one of the sweetest sounds out there. I can pick one out comin down the boulevard a quarter of a mile away. When my Z gets here, I intend to listen to a lotta other mod Z06's before I spring for a new system. I always pull up onna Z06 to hear it in traffic and 99% of the time it is dead quiet. Yesterday I matched up with a replica (I think) 66 cobra (AC), with side pipes doin acceleration runs in the fast lane. Damn it sounded good. The 66 vettes with side pipes also sounded nice. Watch the movie "White Sands" some time and you will know what I mean. Anyway, hope you find the pipes cuz I will be lookin too. :-)

I think it would be a good idea if you listened to several other Z's with different exhaust systems before you decided. I didn't do that and was disappointed with the system I bought. I'm back to stock and will wait until I hear other cars before I make another decision.
The Corsa Tiger Sharks sound rightous they are load and beefy sounding. I have a buddy with them on his 2001 ZO6 love the sound.

Hey Chris Welcome to the the best car site on the net, the folks here are always looking to help, as you can see by the multitude of good information already posted here.
You will love the car, and there are many choices for aftermarket exhausts, and most actually add a few ponies and some torque, not much but some.
Listen to other Zs in your area to get an idea of how they sound, and most vendors have sound bites on their sites of the systems they sell.
Thanks so much for the replies. Everyone here seems so friendly and helpful. I want to be an educated buyer and performance enthusiast. God knows I've done my share of research on Mustangs. I know the things pretty well. I want to be the same with the Corvettes, too.
Welcome Chris. One thing I have to say is( and I will probably be in trouble for sayng it ) is the Flowmasters on Mustangs sound better than most of the Corvettes I have heard(excluding cars with head/cam packages) .I would guess the Mustangs have more overlap in their valve timing, hence the louder exhaust note. Your gonna love the ZO6 . Borlas on mine , and sounds great under WOT.
