Being a founding member, and President the past 7 years of SAFE Motorsports, Inc., which started in 1990, and successfully sanctioned 99 events since then, my wife Barbara and I have started a new track club.
The new club is called *****************
It's a club for people that want to run their sportscar as it was meant to be run. No red lights, no oncoming traffic, no speed limits. All on Roadcourse Tracks (As opposed to Oval or Tri-Oval, etc. tracks with only a wall as a barrier and no run-off room) with trained cornerworkers with radios and flags (To advise any drivers of dangerous conditions ahead), Emergency Medical Personnel on hand, and run under school rules where you can only pass on designated straights after a signal from the slower driver.
We run at 3 of Florida's most prestigious tracks, Sebring International Raceway, Homestead-Miami Speedway, and Moroso Motorsports Park. If you
love driving your car in the performance mode, the people you meet at our events may easily become your best friends of all time.
We are not a school. You must have previous training in wheel to wheel driving at speed (Porsche Clubs, BMW Clubs, Justin Bell, Skip Barber, Panoz Racing School, etc.). Call us for direction. You get in excess of 5 hours of track time at our events for a fee of ******** (Depending on venue) which will probably be plenty. The number of cars participating are limited, and you never have to be separated into a
"run group" where you can only go out on track when it is your turn.
