'NORD-LOCK' Washer usage:

Here’s a little hint, when using the ‘NORD-LOCK’ washers inside the rear axle nuts. Ensure the wedges are fully engaged on the inner surface, of the washers. I had to tighten one again later, but then didn’t move after that.

Hey I wanted to buy some Nord Locks for my 2011 Z. But I think there are different size axles right and left although the shaft may be the same as the nut is the same size?? Fastenal will order anything near me but I don't know what size I'm looking for? Any size or part#?? Thanks, I have procrastinated on this for some time now. I did have a loose axle nut six mnths in!!

My ‘08Z uses 1.1 ID X 1.91 OD washers for both axles. You’d need to measure the axles, and nut OD. You want the washer OD to be at least the OD of the nut. Depending on the type of wheel, it may be difficult to measure the nut, with the wheel installed.

Thanks Bro! I know 11's have a new axle so I still have to check. I know the nut is 33mm! Should just check the part # specs for the 11 ZR1 they have them!

They still haven't moved since ensuring the wedges are fully engaged. Sure a lot easier to deal with, than red thread locker.
