Original owner, original paint?

Found this website last week-liked it! Read with great interest about an 11.81 rip w/ a stock Z06 and joined up. It's been a long since I considered Vettes musclecars.
South Florida guys listen up! My 04 blk/blk will have payment #1 due next week. (rebate, gm loyalty, 4% rate, disgusting discounts-why not?) Instead of intake/exhaust mods on my mind with this initial post, I must instead find an expert paint guy.He will need to fix the damage caused by an a**hole roll-off truck driver too lazy to secure the rear door on his dumpster. His load of recycable metal punch-outs from hurricane panels streamed out and peppered my car like a shotgun blast. The deck lid still looks good. I wanted to have this car forever, keeping it just like the one everybody dreams about finding used. If someone knows a paint guy here in South FLA. let me know. I'm sick, but ready to take my 'fest id and head out with my brother anyway. I read that the Hampton is t*ts. Let me know. Mike

Sorry to hear about what happened. Look at it this way though. If you find the right shop, you may end up with a paint job that is far superior to what the factory gave you.

IT L GO- I went to a place called Broward Collision for an initial estimate. It came back @ $4000 including windshield, emblem, grilles, parking lite(1), one wiper, license cover, antenna, and lots of refinishing. Your guy will be my next call. Thanks.

x My brother (in HI) agrees that there is a lot to be desired in factory paint. Looking at it in the shade really shows the orange peel. Keith from Broward Collision said he is adding 1.5 days for wetsanding the original finish so it matches his work. Sounds promising.
