Picked up new Z16 tonight!

After a few months, I have finally talked my father into getting himself a Z06...a Z16 to be exact. He is always visiting the shop and admiring my customer's cars as well as mine. I showed him the Z16, and he was hooked, the price was too steep he said. Well, today we found a local dealer with one left, it needed to go, so we made the deal and he drove home in it. Of course he swears that it will stay stock. But he did'nt say for how long

Congrats on your new ride I wish you well. The only reason my ride was stock for so long was waiting for the motor to be built. I didn't even make my first payment on the car before I had a deposit on my 447. It is very addicting as I'm sure you may already know or will soon find out. Good Luck !!! Mario

Mario... Knowing Greg (who owns Antivenom<<<----over there) i'll go out on a limb and say his dad will have a C5R engine in there pretty soon.

Hey that's the spirit!!! Maybe I should offer him a ride and then tell him to go drive his stock ride and wager how long it takes to get him to build that C5R. Speed is addicting and it doesn't take long to get bored IMHO. I'll keep an eye out or drop me a PM when he puts that C5R Twin Turbo in the car.

Hey I'm due for a vaction so Florida is fine by me. I'll get on a plane, grab my coveralls and help with the install as long as I get to enjoy some nightlife in South Beach while I'm there. We can have that C5R installed and make a road trip to Miami the same night.

Just talked to him a few minutes ago... I think that he will be sleeping in it tonight. Freshly waxed he said, It will get mods in the morning. Shorty antenna and tune the CAGS out. He really hated the CAGS, I told him that if he would really drive that car, it would never have even come on at all. So the car was picked up at 6:30, driven 30 miles to his house, and by 9:00 it is determined that changes are to be made. Now his garage is full. 1971 LT1 roadster, 1982 low mile vette, and the Z16. Gotta look really cool when the garage doors are all open. But he did say that the '82 has to go now. BTW nobody is getting MY 427!!!
