I've noticed a trend of late that users are not providing their home city or state in the Location field in the profile.
This (and the member locator) is done to facilitate other members finding you for gatherings or someone may need help one day. We pride ourselves on be more personal and familylike than most other sites hope that you decide to participate in this way.
This information is NOT used for demographics or to send you unsolicited crap. In fact, and I think our members will chime in here, we have NEVER sent unsolicited email, snail mail, or ANY form of unwanted communication.
Unlike most sites, your email is not even displayed when other members SEND you email! It's done via a form which only reveals your email when and if you decide to respond to that member.
So, please, take a minute, click the User CP button up top, and update your Location field with your city and state. Who knows, the next person you meet or help might just turn out to be a lifelong friend.....not as uncommon on this site as you might think....
Thanks,
JC

This site is so laid back, that the main moderator shows his home in Reston, Va while rumors say he actually lives in Atlanta, Ga. I really live in NorCal
I confirm the absence of junk email/ads on this site. For a while I thought he was trying to confuse federal government, now I'm not so sure. As many here already know, I'm often confused.
