polishing Z06 wheels - vendor check

has anyone used this vendor for polishing Z06 rims? they're in Texas and quote $110 per wheel.

i'm seriously thinking about getting this done but don't want to trust my wheels to just anyone.

http://wheeltechnologies.com/Default.htm

they didn't have a good answer to how to polish (or replace) the center cap so it would match a polished wheel....

i'd REALLY like to find someone in the SF bay area. don't want to pay for the UPS if i can avoid it.

thx,

Polished wheels are really sharp.

If u don't mind:

Who, where, how much and how long?

Did u have an extra set or loaners?

Thanks

Previously posted by THX2NET:

Loaners, yes... borrowed Raymonds (WIZ357) .. he's running HRE's and had his stock wheels sitting around and was nice enough to loan them to me and since I was dropping my car off at Chevy for some touch up work while on a business trip it was no big deal (But Chevy scratched the wheels.. another story).

Volcano Polishing did the work.. El Cajon, CA (I've got the phone # and address in the car and can send later or tomorrow if you want to contact them.)

It took them 3 days, but I was gone a week anyway.
All together it was $600.

They said one of the toughest wheels they ever did, but they look sweet as hell.. almost look chrome. Painted gloss black on inside and sides of spokes.

Good luck. Keep us informed. I'm interested how they turn out.

Boz, I used to live in San Jose, Ca. I had the rims on my 67 Camaro workrd on.
The shops name was Stockton tire.
I don't remember if they polish rims but They straighten them.
I would bet that they do.
I hope this helps.
Darwin.

Glad to help.. I did a lot of research before having the wheels polished.

Here's a pic...

This one shows comparisions to stock wheels nicely.
