Price for Used Z

Hey People.

I am looking to sell my 03' MY Z06. I have 60k miles on it, paint, body & interior is in good shape other than typical nose chips for a 60k mile car. The rims are stock, but chromed. What do you think it's worth if I were to sell private party?

Thanks for your help.

Jason

I'll be happy with $25 - 27k. I owe 19k right now, and the extra cash will be enough for a decent down on an 06' Z51.

You will get better money for it in the regular ads or e bay instead of a forum. A clean 03 car with 60k will still sell well. I think 24,or 25k is low for an 03. Corvette people are so mile scared. Good for you , you got to "use the new off of it". People are funny, ask them what THEIR car is worth and see the difference. Ill tell you this, there are no $24k 03 Z06s on e bay. I think your car would do over $30,000 on e bay no problem.

I would think $26,900 would be a good asking price... might want to chec what the dealer will give you trade in first though

26,900 was what the car brought at a dealer auction add about 1500 for retail.

MILES kill any car--especially for a sports car--got to be rock chips everywhere--get what you can and run--

This nonsense about "miles killing a car" is why people buy these cars and then never drive them.

Pathetic.

The C5 Z06 is a 180mph, 0-60 in 4s, 12s 1/4 mile supercar.

It runs and guns with Ferrari's Lambos and Porsches.

Why would an extra 30,000 miles kill it's potential and attraction except for polishers and posers.

At $25,000 the 3 year old car is cheaper than a Honda or Toyota family sedan....

Why are people so hell bent on UNDER valuing these super sports cars?

Unless you HAVE to sell the car - don't - why take the hit just because other people say so.

Don't give it away! That car is worth at least 30k. High miles don't hurt a car, it's how those miles are accumulated.
Mark Dickie has over 100k on his '01 and it still runs great.
Another thing to consider is that if it needs a new motor, brand new LS6 Crate motors can be had for very reasonable prices right from GM. Kudos to you for driving the crap out of your car and enjoying it! The Z06 is meant to be driven!

Mine does not get driven much , but these cars are alot easier to maintain and up and running when driven. Don't sell cheap! Keep the status quo! These are CORVETTES, not throw away malibus!

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys. Your right, miles may depreciate a vehicles overall value, but not necessarily the vehicle itself. This car has been strong as hell for me, and has taken everything I have given it in stride. I have had a blast with it, but before I go upside down on it, I need to sell. I sure as hell can't afford the new Z, not now, or even down the road, so I figure I might as well roll into the next closest thing........a new Z51. I'll go at about $29,900 and see what happens. If the dealer can come close in price(ya right), I'll go that route just because the car is in need of a clutch and rear tires, and they are less likely to care about it opposed to a private party.

Thanks again people!
