Cruising up the road today to buy dad a couple golf shirts for father's day I see a honduh coupe, cant think of the name of it. Oh yeah, Prelude. (what was it the prelude to???)
Anyhow, this guy is riding behind me, matching my lane changes and has a bit of a smile on his face. I get a bit annoyed, find an open spot and put some space between us. Like a mile.
A couple miles later he comes flying up on my ass, same smile. I decide to ignore him, traffic is rather heavy and I have no time for toying with 4 NA 4 bangers. We get to a red light and he pulls up next to me, and says, "beautiful Z06 man! What is the HP?" I tell him my last dyno results and he compliments the car again and drives off.
I have to say, I have owned a few pretty nice cars, but the Z has garnered more compliments than all of them combined in the two short years of ownership. The Z brings nothing but miles of smiles. Kids, adults, old, young, male, female, they all love it!

Re: Props to my Z
Great story. At least he didn't have on a fart can and rev it along side of you. These cars do get the looks. I had Mom's in their Tahoe yelling at the kids in the back seat because they were getting out of their car seats to look at the Z. Love the look on their face after I give them a wave.

You should see how young children act in Germany. They look at a Corvette, like we did a Ferrari or Lamborghini as a child. Its really amazing to see pre-teens rush to the stop light and take pics with cell phones.
Even with the decals, Sunday, the guy at SONIC says "All the girls inside are oogling over your car".
And about 10 minutes later, a group of 5 kids between the ages of 14 -17 walked passed shouting some compliments and gave some thumbs up. (I guess it can't be THAT bad.)
Monday, my buddy said "Hey, I went to Sonic on Sunday too but no one said anything about my car" (He just bought a 2006 Metallic Red coupe or whatever that burgundy colored red was)
The best was, the same guy at Sonic told me after he brought my ice cream he said "Yeah, the girls even said you have a red one too" Hahahahahahaha
(They thought my buddy's was MINE! Hahahahahahaha)

It's amazing how many imports want to see what the Zee has. When I oblige them, they seemed surprised but still come back for more!
The Z is what they (import drivers) all want to be able to replicate the performance in whatever car they have. It is there goal to be able to perform with a Z. It is pretty neat to have a car that everyone wants to compare their cars with.

I've only owned my car since Tuesday, and have already received tons of compliments and random yells at stop lights etc. It puts a smile on my face every time and I look forward to the many more to come. I also try to compliment owners of other nice cars whenever I can.
Minding my own business, two younger kids roll passed in a WRX STI. Of course, they slow down then pull up and over awaiting for my bite.
Of course. Who can resist? So, I wave 'em off to follow. When I made my next right on a good stretch road, I allowed them the remote feeling of adrenaline for just about 1 second until their nose aligned with my rear end and then I nailed it. I ran it hard all the way to the top of second and let off when I shifted into 3rd. By then, they were asking "Hey, can you pull over?" Hahahahaha..... To be honest, his STI was rather quick, but on a straight road such as the Interstate, I would have gone through 4th. It was a fun 10 seconds or so..... :pp:
My neighbor got a Ford F2 or 350 diesel I cant remember. Anyway, he has some kind of turbo system on it and everyone in the neighborhood went for a ride and it's all I heard about. I never said a word and just listened for weeks. Saturday his son comes over and says will you take me for a ride? So we load up and I just punched it as soon as we got on the road and he said I had no idea how fast this thing was. Later that night I was pulling weeds in the mulch and his dad came over and said, "I hear I might beat the Camaro but I'm not gonna touch the Z06" I just smiled.
I have gotten many unsolocited complements over ther years. Some people just 'get it'. My favorite occured when I was waiting at a stop light. A comely lady on a Harley Road King stopped next to my open driver window and started flirting oh, I mean, made complements on about my car and noticed how my passenger seat was empty and how she would really like a ride...then the light changed and it is now just a nice warm memory
She was nothing to sneeze at...
