For those of you who know, I recently became a member and my wife and I have a MY02. Last time I had a question everyone was very helpful regarding Zaino!! And it looks Awesome!
Now I have another question. I can't seem to locate Ramps to fit this beast! How am I going to change my oil? Any ideas. I really don't want to go to the slippy lube down the street so what are my options?
The spoiler will rub slightly when the ramps are used. Some people use various combinations of boards in front of the ramp to diminish the angle. A search will come up with them. Good luck.

Ditto, have you every seen the fender covers those guys use, along with greasy foot and hand prints all over the car.
IWIK, if there was a market to start an oil change service for premium cars that treat the customers car with the same respect I would want??
Anyway, so much for that. I bought an AC Hydralics low profile jack, jack stands, and ramps. The jack is a little expensive at $425.
Good Luck and above all please be safe!!

P.S. BTW, have you ever heard of the thriving metro of "BELLE, MO"?? It is about 100 miles west of St. Louis, close to Rolla, MO. That was my home town many years ago.

Yep, like z06175mph said... Rhino Ramps... $29.99 at PepBoy's (that's what I paid). Lightweight and the car won't drag if you creep up and down at a slow crawl. I've used them from the front and back.
Rhino ramps are great and I use them all the time.....but not for oil changes. GM recommends that the rear of the car be higher than the front for drainage. So you can drive on the front and jack the back, or drive on the back and jack the front, or you can spend $60 at your GM dealer. I spend the $60 providing my own UPF-44 filter to boot. It beats all the jacking around. Z06Y Lady

ZO6ROD,
thanks.........if they are metal, I don't see how they will sit still.......if they are coated maybe.....
The metal ones are J_U_N_K........they go ALL over.............
I built me some ramps out of 2x12's. Stacked 4 high, more than enough to get under the car, and if the distance between boards is big enough, you get no spoiler drag.
If you have the metal ramps you could always drill a hole in the end, bolt a length of chain onto it, then stretch it out so the back tires are on the chain while the fronts are going up. Will not slip, done this for years with my dads ramps, works every time.

Scott - Like A06ROD, The best way I have found to change oil is similar to Z06ROD's suggestion. 1) Get a low profile jack (AC Hydraulics has a great KD20, Griots has a different brand that is a little heavier, and my friend just ordered a "Nascar" type jack that is lighter than either, but more expensive)
2) Jack the car up inline with right behind the rearview mirror, underneath the driver's door, putting the saddle of the jack right on the support rail at the bottom of the car.
3) Support with jackstands.
4) Repeat on passenger side.
It takes me about 5 minutes, but by taking a couple extra minutes, I am free to adjust the angle of the car as I wish (front higher, rear higher, or level, depending on the job at hand). You can then get on your creeper, and inspect every square inch of the beautiful underbelly of your Z06!
No matter how hard the past week has been, a little time under the car makes everything OK.

The Rhino ramp I bought from Pep Boys has some rubber feet so it will not slip on concrete. I used it all the time (front and back) and never had any problem with it slipping.
Scott,
I back my car up on the Rhino ramps. Jack up the front and stick a jack stand underneath. loosen the drain plug and the filter. Remove the jack stand and lower the jack. This way the back is sitting up real high to completely drain the oil. Go inside the house, have a beer and watch TV. Half an hour later, come out, pour half a quart of clean oil into the engine to wash out all the dirty oil that's left. Jack the front back up, place the stand underneath (for safety purpose). Tighten up the drain plug. Fill the new filter with oil almost full. Hand tight the filter. Remove oil bucket, jack stand(s) and jack. Add new oil to the engine. Drive it off the ramps. Done.
This may sound like a long process, but actually, it's very litle work. Plus, you get to drain your car as long as you want and don't waste any time while doing it (have a beer, watch TV, Zaino...etc). If you take it to a kwik lube, they don't even drain your oil completely before they put back the drain plug and add in new oil.
