Average - Too much excess glue sticking out from the trim around the windows, orange peel paint, ugly screw holes in the dash not hidden well enough or plugged to appear hidden.

it is orange in your paint that looks like a orange peel. no kiddin! the best way to describe it is like looking at your qtr panel and seeing orange blended perfect with your paint. thats it. i am not sure how it is caused, maybe dirt on panel. i am not a paint expert but i hope this helps!!!

Its an uneven paint surface that has the texture of an orange skin. It can be caused by a variety of things, but usually its a paint consistency problem including the paint itself too thick before sprayed, an uneven spray pattern (too thick/too thin), or the paint sets up too fast.

Did you know that 26 robots paint your Corvette and the paint line is 2 miles long? Just read that in my Vette magazine. Looking forward to the factory tour in BG this Sept.
There's still definitely room for improvement. The orange peel can be taken care of, but mine has a number of significant marks on the surface that simply shouldn't be there.
The comment about the soft Corvette paint is right on the money. Every one I've had has had trouble with bug etching and even blistering, for example, and no other car I've owned has even had one single issue.
Originally posted by Zoomin I too, could only vote "average" due to the poor paint. Can't they make a pass with a buffer or something to make the paint appear one notch above a Malibu?
Ditto on the paint.
Also, with all the problems that automakers have with the computers/electronics, the least they could do is have parts made to stand up to the harsh environment of an autmobile. The military does it.

Lloyds Z06 mats, Borla Quad Stingers, Power antenna, Sill protectors,A&A Frame Savers, Ceramic pads, CLB, V1, Tinted Windows, Partition, 3rd brake light flasher, hood seal, trunk liner, Cover for the hole in the trunk that everything falls into.
Fit and finish of American cars, unfortunately, still hasn't improved all that much. My Z06 came with the hood misaligned, had to take it in right away. Some interior plastic pieces weren't fitting well either so will take it back on the next oil change visit. Anyway, once you've owned an european car you will notice these imperfections very quickly.
Don't get me wrong though, the Z06 outperforms every european sports car in that price range. Still love driving it but wish it had better fit and finish being in that price range when everything should be PERFECT. But if the Mercedes AMG SLK32 ever comes out with a stick shift I will have to get one of them too. I heard that the 2004 Benz SL500 will have a manual transmission. Time to save up for the upgrade.
I voted pretty good. No complaint with the interior, but the paint has the typical orange peel, and actually I found a hair embedded in the paint on the trunk lid.
