Rear Brake Duct

Is it just me or are these rear brake ducts taking a severe beating? I only have 560 miles on this car and the ducts already look like they have been shot peened by cinders. Does everyone else have the same problem???

If you think that is bad, you should see mine after 6k miles. They are now completely marbled. I have been thinking about replacing them. I'd hate to see what they look like after 30k???

I don't know if it includes the screens, if the screens are even detachable. I have a set on order and can let you know once I receive them....

I just bought new ones. GMpartsdirect. They are sitting on the floor next to me right now. Just the vents (outside part) (as pictured above), no ducts. There are 4 fine thread bolts on these on the back. Depending on how hard they are to reach doesn't look like it's going to be real difficult. I'll let you know in a few weeks. Having some paint chip repair done first.

I can post a picture of the part as they arrived if that would help.

Ooohhhh, they're pretty fiveo. Let us know how it goes. If I remember correctly, the last time I looked under the car there is a panel that runs the length of it. I wonder if that has to be dropped to gain access to the 4 bolts.

Cheap plastic...Something i heard about 20% better brake cooling on the rears? How bout better brakes on the rear? Normal - don't sweat it.

Thank god your paint around it looks ok - better give it some extra Zaino just in case.

PS: does any one make this part as aluminum or steel? Just a thought...?

Dustin
