SCCA T1 Season Update - Grattan Aug 9 and 10

All,
With the new motor installed and taking me to a 2 of 3 in class and 2 of 24 overall finish in St Louis last weekend, I met my goal of qualifying for the SCCA Valvoline Runoffs on Sept 20th.
I had a family vacation planned for Aug 2-10 to a family reunion in Northern Michigan. Conveniently, there is an SCCA National race at Grattan, near Grand Rapids, on Aug 10th. So, I've decided to mix pleasure with... uh... pleasure.
There are three T1 Vettes entered, once of which is being driven by a very fast driver who qualified 8th at last years Valvoline Runoffs. I am hoping to give him a good run for his money.
I'll be running in Group 3. We get one practice Saturday morning and one practice Saturday afternoon. The race should be about 1030 am Sunday.
If any of the Michigan area members are interested, come on out.
I'll be off the computer until the 11th, but will update you all with results when I return.

So where in Northern Michigan?

Grattan is considered to be the safest track for motorcycles, but maybe a bit tight for cars. There are vantage points where you can just about see the whole track! If it wasn't 7 hours away, I might take you up on your invite.

My family will be happy to hear they can actually see most of this race.

Oh, you are talking about Southern Michigan, not Northern Michigan.
