Should I keep my '00 FRC, or sell it and buy a '02 Z06?
The title is pretty much self-explanatory. I'm trying to decide whether or not I should keep my current car (see sig.) and continue to mod it, or start all over again (no foolish mistakes)with a '02 Z06. I'm thinking about buying one after the C6 comes out due to people trading in their C5's for C6's. My car is very similiar to an '02 Z06 except that it is about 35hp less. I like my car, but think having a "Z06" would be pretty sweet as well. But I'm not sure if it's worth the extra $10000 to just gain the name. Either way, I will mod the car. 4.10 gear, etc. What do you guys think?

2000 Black FRC 331HP/ 338Torque......SOLD!
I'm keeping mine since I have done the basic mods and added Z06 suspension with wheels/tires on the way. All of this to get ready for the real mod: the Magnuson supercharger. Then, after a couple of years, maybe the C6.
I traded my 00 FRC for a 03 Z. What a difference. I loved the FRC and if I didn`t have the money to trade up it wouldn`t have been a big deal. I`m not sorry at all except I`d like to have kept both.
Went from 2000 C5 to 2001 Z06 - big difference in performance. I'm mod'ing my Z but I suggest you do mods that fit your budget keeping in mind the C6 will be out in 1 year.
Wait for the C6.
Ken
p.s. I'm STILL waiting for Elle McPherson to run off with me too.
Heres the details..I hope this is within forum guidelines to post:

I know that I'll eventually sell my FRC, but as for now I realistically don't know what I would want besides a Z06 (within reason of course). So that's my conundrum. Should I continue to put more money into knowing that I'll eventually sell it and probably lose the majority of the money that I put into it in mods, e.g. 4.10 gear assembly. The worst part is that there are SO MANY corvette tuners in the area that could swap out my gear, and I might as well put in a new clutch and aluminum flywheel while I'm at it. Then I'll be looking at close to $2000 in parts and labor! Damn it!! The choices!!
What did you notice to be the most distintive differences (besides the hp difference) between the FRC and the '03 Z06.
Well, it`s small things. Firstly the seat doesn`t rock, yet. It`s easier to get in and out of because of the memory seat. I can`t open the door all the way in the garage.
The big thing so far and this may be h.p. related is I don`t have to look at the tach to shift. The FRC didn`t have HUD and the way the engine wound up, I`d hit the rev limiter. So far, I`m pretty close to red line without looking. I had the A&A mod on the FRC and Borlas now which are much louder. I don`t know if that has much to do with it but it seems easier to shift SOTP and not over rev.
I do like the mod red interior. I put red Lloyd`s mats in and it makes a nice difference. I don`t know how far I`ll go with more red in the interior.
I use the same contractor for house repairs. He`s seen most of my Vettes. He really liked my 2000 and had an idea what it cost. When he saw the Z he said "Tell the truth, this cost a hundred grand right?" That was very weird.
