Sig Limits?

Is there a max on Sigs?

Seems that 450x60 is about the norm...just wondering.

Funny you should ask about this.....

We have always been big on sig limits here, though recently, have not been harping on it....BUT, starting in the next few days, we are going with a 450x60 image + 4 lines MAX of text on all sigs.

Reason? Well, several. It cuts down drastically on the amount of scrolling to read threads. It encourages use of the member profile. And it can increase the speed at which pages load and display, and it saves us money! How? well, if we have a page with 4k of extra text and other items, multiplied by 200,000 per DAY, you can see how this can quickly sprial in to some nice transfer numbers.....While it may not be a lot in comparison to the rest of the site, think of it as turning the lights off when you go to work.....Every little bit helps!

Thanks for helping with this request.....

I moderate e-mail lists and we limit sigs to 4 lines max, too. If you have so much to list that you can't do it in 4 lines, post a link. If anyone cares to see your mods, they'll follow the link

There are 2-3 people on here (including one moderator) that crack me up every time I see their .sigs. It fills almost the entire screen on my laptop when I view a thread on which they've posted
