the audio came through, but no video (2 or three blurry still images)...????

If you are getting audio and no video, that usually means you do not have the proper codec installed for Windows Media Player. A codec I believe has to do with the compression of the video and Windows Media Player's ability to de-compress it. I only know because this has happened to me a hundred times.
Check the options of the program and make sure it is set to search for updates and download codecs automatically. I am pretty sure the most recent version of the program is version 7 so check that too.
