Questions, and answers, I think

Hi there, Does it squeak when you push down on the lid of the trunk???
Is it more when you are driving??
White lithium grease or GM superlube goes in the latch mechanism.
Silicone grease goes on the rubber stops, and the wstrip around the door.
Let us know how you make out, c4c5

Thanks for the tips.

It squeaks when driving, but I can make it squeak by pressing down on the closed trunk. I will lube the latch and the strips.

Thanks,

I lubricated the latch hook on the trunk and no help. I then lubricated the rubber posts on the corners and that didn't help.

I have a feeling that it is coming from another location. I'll keep looking.

The squeak was coming from the right muffler. It went away after a day at the track.

Thanks,
