Stalling after starting!

Still have my 2002 torch red z06 and loving it. Question, has anyone had this problem.I'll start the car and it idles well, then go to rollout and it just dies like it's fuel starved, may do this once or twice. I've started to turn the ignition on and letting the fuel pump prime the system but does'nt seem to help. Happens about 1 in5 starts. No codes thrown.

Re: Stalling after starting!

I would start w/ a dirty/ clogged fuel filter. Easy fix and probable. If after that the problem continues go for a fuel injection cleaning at the dealer. Hows the air cleaner?? Then look into intake manifold leaks> Good luck Jim

hmmmm, i wonder if it's related to the column lock problem, does it say pull key wait 10 seconds or anything?

Re: Stalling after starting!

Thanks for the input. Air filter is a K&N CAI and i've cleaned it recently. Should'nt be a locking problem, the locking plate was removed several year ago.Probablly fuel line related.

Re: Stalling after starting!

I had this problem once and found that I had not tightened the gas cap the required 3 clicks after getting gas. Check the gas cap to make sure it is sealing properly. I had the same symptoms, would idle and then quit after driving for less than a second.

Re: Stalling after starting!

Check the rubber hose that goes from the intake manifold to your valley cover...and every other vac hose for leaks.
