I don't have one but I've been giving a lot of thought of getting one for use with a bicycle carrier accessory or attachment but what keeps me from buying one is that I can't seem to overcome the picture in my mind of how goofy it might look mounted on a Z06. I believe the hitch for the Corvette is a 1.25" Class I type and I think has a towing limit of something like 2000 lbs. and a maximum tongue weight of 150-200 lbs. This seems to me to be in the range of something like a small Jetski, motorcycle trailer, or something along that line. I think they also make a Ski and Snowboard accessory receiver as well. Hope this helps!
The majority of times a hitch would be installed on something like a ZO6 would be to tow a track trailer for your track or autocross wheels and tires. They are light duty and would work fine. I've seen quite a few at the track. They actually don't look that bad as they are a receiver type hitch and can be removed when not in use.

Let me tell you it does look very strange. Personally I wouldn't ever even consider putting trailer hitch on anything but a pickup or SUV.
Had a trailer hitch on my 97' and had one on my 00'. Take a look at the following. She tows great with no problems. Have thousands of miles on my cars towing my little utility trailer with the race tires and tools. Works just fine!
Just got an enclosed trailer and she goes on her first trip tomorrow. http://www.cfive-corvette.com/background.htm

Actually, a lot of autocrossers that have vettes put hitches on them. A couple of friends of mine have hitches on their 02 Z06s.
Da'lan makes a hitch that when installed without the ball, you cannot even tell there was a hitch on the z06 unless you are looking directly behind it and know where to look.
I made a hitch for my 1963 Z06 out of a channel beam. I used it to tow either my race boats, 3 boats and five engines. On alternate weekends I towed my race car on a flat tow with just a tow bar until one day the race car pasted me, then on a open trailer.
I can remember coming home on a Sunday night in 1965 towing the boats along the NY Thruway at 125MPH. Those were the days. Now it is the other way around I tow the Z06 on any long trips.

Hey Bob! Great pics! I need a small trailer like those. Are they the 48" x 40" ones like the those at http://www.harborfreight.com/? Hard to mod for tires or easy fit?
I believe it was that size. Too bad you don't live nearby as I have mine forsale. I just got an enclosed trailer and am selling the one I have. Have modified it to carry larger tires too!

When I had my C5 vert I used to haul my bike short distances, and it worked great, I don't think I will be using the Z for this type of duty. I didn't notice any negative drawbacks worth complaining about.
