Gentlemen, it pays to cultivate a good relationship with your local Mr Goodwrench.....Corvette Clubs are a great local resource for finding out who you might be able to trust and who to stay away from.....
This is how I found the Good Guys at the local Chevy dealer.
Of course, they are not stupid.....but, if it comes to a "MUG WUMP" decision on a warrenty item they'll probabily be on your side. I'm a big boy and can handle anything not covered by my warrenty.....It's kinda like "if you don't have the time don't do the crime" if you catch my drift.....
My Z is in today for a window rattle fix and a shifter lite install, a Vinci Fan Switch install and a Lap Trak install.....They did my headers and Katech Rod Bolts last year.....
Next week it will be gone for about 3 weeks as they are installing a new Star Spec Clutch and Aluminum Flywheel(same clutch/flywheel LPE uses on the 725 HP beast), and Vinci heads, lifters, push rods, roller rockers, guides, springs, ti retainers, ss valves, etc. the heads will be overnighted to Vinci. Also, using Vinci's Stage 5 Cam. Finally, an ATI underdrive Dampner, a Katech ported Throttle Body, and a Katech solid Tensioner. The engine will be dropped out of the body to facilitate this job.
Hoping for 420-425 rwhp.....
All of these parts are better than stock quality.....
Oh, almost forgot The Vinci Clutch Shield
My 3 cents
