What do people say about the corvette?

One 20 year-old said to me,

"Once you get in the car, you don't want to get out!"

I thought that was a refeshing way to put it!

Vette ON!

What have you heard?

So far nothing in person but boy O' boy do I get a serious negative vibe from the majority of my Ford "friends".

I thought it was cause I am older and heavier than I used to be

The most common comment I get is something like "They'd take away my license if I drove this everyday."

I had a lady ask me "what kind of Ferrari is that" ?

"No way would I ever get out of that car except to put more gas in it"

"Love that color; awesome"

"So; on the Autobahn does it go fast" ? (Umm HELLO!)

That's a few I remember. The looks from folks on the side of the road or sidewalks or as other drivers pass by, says enough.

I had a kid look me straight in the eye and say, "Nice car. Is it fast?"

Must have been the absence of a quintuple-decker wing that threw him off.

I took my buddy our for a ride in my Z06. I got it rolling at around 2200 in 1st and then stomped the gas, weaved in and out of traffic till we hit 100. All he could say was "Holy **** this things fast" .. I couldn't have put it more eloquently myself.

I was out driving the other day and pulled up to the stop light> ( I have headers, cam, b&b bullets) so my car is loud. Well with my peripheral vision I see an older couple at least early- mid 70's letting the window down trying to get my attention. I am thinking there going to complain about the noise. But they both are grinning and tell me "beautiful car and it sounds awesome" that made my day

Had that happen to me today. It was a guy my age though. I've also had it happen with a couple Police Officers. They tend to ask a lot more questions though.
