What driving school?

Looking into attending a driving school and would like peoples input as to which school.

I know Justin Bell is a vendor and I have heard good things about the school. I have also heard good things about Bragg-Smith?

Any info would be helpful.

Depends on what you want. If you want a "drivers" school, go with Bragg-Smith, or Justin Bell. If you want to goto a racing school, give Skip Barber, or Bob Bondurant a call.

Thanks for the input guys.

I am looking for a driving school where I can learn in a Z06, that is why I am looking for positives and negitives on Justin Bell & Bragg-Smith.

Bragg is much closer to me, so this is prefered, but I am waiting to here info about Justin.

IRISH: I'll let you know when I get close to choosing. Be cool to have a few of us go. Hope you can make it to the local track day here in Seattle in July. They have a one day school fir newbies on I think the 10th, and the track day is on the 17th. Muffler (Pat) will post more soon.

I took the three days school with Justin Bell and it was awesome.
He has SS Camaros, C5 and Z06s. Excellent school with minimal class room time and lots of hot laps.

Try to find local clubs like Porsche, BMW, etc. that have driving schools at local tracks. Its not racing, its driving school, and they are much cheaper than the pricey ones. Good for a start - go to several of these and if you enjoy them, then go spend the big bucks for the others.

I agree..

...with Redshift. Start with local or statewide schools first. If nothing else, you'll have more wheeltime in before you plunk down the big bucks. I teach driving to police officers, and its amazing how much we can show(well..most of them) in a week of training.

That is a pretty serious "Owie"! I am an aircraft accident investigator/pilot by trade. Most of the other pilots and aircrew wonder how I can fly after investigating accidents, and I tell them that they drive after seeing the carnage on the highways!
