What would be the "average" driver's 0 to 60 in the '02 Z?

With an average driver are we talking 4.5 to 5 seconds? With GM quoting 3.9 seconds I assume this is only achieved with an absolutely professional driver behind the wheel. Anyone find it easy to hit 4 seconds repeatedly?

NO.............
4.5/4.7, is the typical STREET times....
Some of our drag dudes...can, and have nailed UNDER 4....on NUMEROUS occasions,,,,,even with the '01's............
Someone figured PowerShifters time in the 3.5x range 0-60, at the track.in his '01..........

Send a message via Yahoo to Charge Eight
Agree

Even beginners should be able to break 5's after only a little practice.

I agree with Charge Eight, with a little practice launching and making the 1-2 shift, under 5 seconds should not be very hard.

Good Luck

Just curious....do you know the formula to use to get this 0-60 from track times. My best 60' is 1.90 with a 12.21 1/4. Interested to know how that would equate to 0-60. Thanks

So when they quote a Lamborghini's (or any other exotic's) 0 to 60 as 3.5sec then can we assume an average driver would be achieving 4.5sec? In other words these performance figures you read reflect a professionals results, right?

I read somewhere that GM's driver, John Heinrici(?), did it in 3.9 but did not use the clutch.

Mike,
I do not know the formula....it was a WHILE back..

If memory serves Roger Ramjet came up with the extrapolation, using the 330' times.....?????

But, this is just from memory..I may be WAY off......

But, the 3.5x time was not.....seems like it was calculated at 3.56..0-60...

Anyone else remember this thread/series??/..
help if you do.....

Thanks

Desmo,
saying that "Professionals', are getting these times would be a given to me..
As, the FACTORY is providing the #'s.........
However, as i posted above....we have had a lot of folks doing SUB 4.0's on a regular basis..with both '01, and '02's....on a STRIP.......
And, the humorous thing is................they don't even know it or may not care.....
0-60 times, are NOT what most folks are after......it's 1/4, or track times.............

Looked at the thread guys but don't see a formula anywhere. Just see Roger referring to 'Quarter Jr' to extrapolate the 0 to 60 . It's not that big a deal anyway, was just mildly curious. Thanks for looking up the thread guys
