Z06Vette.com - Corvette Z06 Forum - What's the standard greeting/acknowledgement when seeing another z on the road?

This weekend I passed a fellow Z06 and we had an awkward hello / hand gesture to acknowledge we both saw and appreciated the other's ride. I suggest we formalize the rules and procedures for this incident which I'm sure has happened to all of us.

I suggest pointing at the other's car and doing a solemn nod when there's a eye contact. Lets get a few other suggestions and get a poll going.

Just wave. I have added PIAA x1100 driving lights so if it is winter and the window is up I flash them in greeting.

I normally wave, smile and nod the head that means yeah, you know we got the car!!! LOL

I'm sticking with the wave and the look like I've never seen a Z06 even though I'm driving one!!

I usually get a wave or a thumb's up. Whatever is easier.

haha that is good, but I just wave or thumbs up also. But I do tend to look at other Z's just becuase it's another one.

The wave has been the standard greeting for Corvettes on the road for many many years.

The wave has always been a good way to acknowledge another Vette, Z06 or otherwise! "SAVE THE WAVE"

Just a wave ... out the window if they're open ... I find it's hard to see inside some cars ... esp tints.

I told my girlfriend she has to flash me every time we pass a Corvette. Does that count?

I use the wave, folks with Vettes have doing it since before I was born, its the thing to do...

I usually try to swerve in to their lane. The effect is most memorable when the other Z is headed in the opposite direction, but it works for passing as well.

I'm sure you'll remember me if we meet!
