I like Chrome on silver cars. I don't think the silver color is bright enough so the chrome/polished wheels really sharpen the car.
This is (Jeff's) Z06Modder's car. I love it with those wheels.

I have just mounted my Black Motorsports with polished lip a few minutes ago. I am literally on my way out to put them on the Z. I will post a few pics if you give me a little time!

I agree too. Often though they are an extremely heavy wheel and the resultant performance loss for me is a non-starter. I would love to find a supplier of black motorsports at under 22 pounds.

I'm just gonna go on a diet and lose the difference from stock wheels myself!
Take a lessons learned from me... Be very careful of wheel weight added to the car. I got some aftermarket wheels and the weight addition was enough for me to notice a huge reduction in my Z06's performence. I sold them 2 weeks later. When I put my stock Z06 wheels back on I was shocked just how much they really slowed down the car. It felt like I just added 20HP putting my stock Z06 wheels back on !
The Z06 wheels are very light (~18lbs front ~20lbs rear). You will be hard pressed to find a set lighter than that. You can get some high $$ wheels that light I think.
I decided to have my original Z06 wheels stripped and re-pained at a local wheel refinishing shop (My Porsche buddy says all the Porsche guys go there). For $400 I got my wheels stripped, painted and clear coated. They look awesome ! I now have wheels that are light weight and look great ! Its an original look that I get many compliments on and its not common to see wheels this color.
I also agree with the "Panther" idea mentioned above because they take your factory Z06 wheel and just re-finish it. So in that case you still maintain the light weight.
