Where you going with your Z this year?

My Z06 is a car I use strictly for enjoyment, I usually just take it for long drives with no particular place to go. But this year I am thinking about Carlisle PA (went last year) and the Z06 Fest for sure. I would also be interested in visiting some forum members prior to the Z06 Fest. Where are you going this year in your Z?

I need a ROAD TRIP!!! Hoping to leave DFW to Banff, Canada, then to Vancouver and down the Pacific coast through Big Sur, then to Nevada to visit Bragg-Smith Driving School, then to Phoenix to visit the Grandbabies, and back to DFW. Now, that's a road trip! Hope to visit some of our great membership along the way! Just in the early planning stages, but trying for July !

Belleville, Kansas

Taking the Z06 out on the road at the end of July headed for Lincoln, NE and Belleville, KS. They run the Midget Nationals on the Belleville Highbanks half mile track on 8/1,2 and 3. I'll see more racing at Lincoln a couple of nights earlier. Finally got a room in Belleville this year by reserving a year in advance.

I expect the 2002EB/Blk will cause some interest there.

The wife and I are leaving from Calgary on May 12. We are going down to Corvetteforum.com's Cruise-in three. We will be making stops in Brandon, Manitoba (home town), Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis (where we will meet up with fellow Zo6vette.com member Dave Stoeppelworth and go for a ride in his awesome Modena 360! ), Detroit/Windsor where we will meet up with about 30 Vettes for the cruise down to Bowling Green. Then on the the Opreyland Hotel for a couple of nights in Nashville, then Oklahoma, Albuquerque, then a few nights in the New York, New York in Vegas, then Idaho Falls and home! Can't wait. Anybody in those areas want to join us for supper or a beer let me know!

Hey Slyck14! You come to Calgary, I will buy you a beer!!!!

My problems with long trips are the bugs. I have a GM bra that I use but the bugs hit the windshield and seem to splat anywhere. Every time I stop for gas on long trips I get the clay bar out and the Zano touchup spray and hit the bugs while they are fresh. My second issue is the tractor trailer retreads that seem to line our highways. I hit one on the way to BG this April. Talk about Firestone Retreads Carlisle is always fun. Be sure you get there on Saturday before 7:00am or you may have a very long wait. Two years ago I waited for two hours in bumper to bumper traffic when I left the hotel around 7:30am. Wife and I now get there by 7:00am on Saturday.
