When someone else loses their baby(er Vette), you definitely feel their pain and you feel as if the loss is your own, but over the 4th of July weekend, a fellow Vetter lost his pride over someone elses stupid actions. A gentleman in the suburbs of Chicago had a 1989 C4 that he owned since new. He was in the process of cleaning his interior,(he left the tops off to dry the interior) and went in the house, when someone came to tell him his car was on fire. By the time he got outside, the car was totalled. When the area was checked around the car, he found the remnants of bottle-rockets, and naturally figured that one was shot into his car. This is another example of someone paying the price for someone elses stupidity!!
Arrrgghhh!!! You hate to hear of this kind of stuff. I found bottle rockets in my yard and some were very near my house after the 4th. We did not shoot any fireworks at my house nor did any of my close neighbors.

I hate to hear a story like that, but did you read the article?? A 1989 Vette with 47,000 miles that is a FAKE ZR-1 is supposedly worth $25,000. Maybe the crack pipe that he is smoking started the fire.

Boy is he in for a surprise when he gets his insurance check. Either that, or he has the greatest insurance company in the world and that person did him a huge favor. Either way, I feel bad for him as I know I would be pissed.
